Why Build In Bayonet Head
Bayonet Head sits on the west bank of Oyster Harbour, about fifteen minutes north-east of the Albany city centre, with Elizabeth Street, Lower King Road and Yakamia Creek marking its edges. Around 3,272 people live here. The suburb was called Flinders Park until the 1980s and was gazetted under its current name in 1981. Flinders Park Primary School, on Yatana Road, has kept the old name since it opened in 1978.
The ground rises away from the water, which is why the Bayonet Head Lookout has its view over the harbour. Slope changes your siteworks, the work to prepare the block before the build starts, so it is worth pricing early. This is suburban land rather than acreage, so the design challenge is capturing the outlook from a standard lot. Emu Point, one of the Albany areas we build in, is a short drive away.
Just outside the suburb, the new estate off Lower King Road is adding lakes, playgrounds, paths and an early learning centre. Gull Rock National Park, with Ledge Beach and Boiler Bay, is up Nanarup Road. We understand you are buying the outlook, so we plan the living areas around it.
