Pre-construction

  What is a variation?

A variation is a request to change an item in your contract that has been agreed by us in writing. Your contract will specify in detail how variations are dealt with and any additional costs involved.

Why can’t construction commence on my new home as soon as my contracts are signed?

Typically we are waiting on items such as your finance approval, which can take 30 days or more and town planning approval. This can vary depending on location and council. Of course, we aim to begin your building journey as soon as possible. So rest assured we are trying our best to make this period as small as possible. Your New Homes Administrator can take you through any queries further.

  What is a BAL rating?

BAL refers to the Bushfire Attack Level and has been devised to improve the ability of a building to withstand a bushfire attack. It is important to note that your New Homes Consultant will include an item in your building project, advising what minimum BAL rating your home needs to meet/be constructed to. This will vary across every site, regardless of its location.
