Gelorup Retreat Takes Gold at Housing Awards

Modern country retreat

The Rural Building Co.’s Gelorup Retreat Display took out two prestigious accolades at this year’s HIA-CSR South-West Housing Awards.

Our modern country retreat – which blends rustic charm with modern elegance – won Best Display Home Over $700,000, and the Golden Key Award for South West Display Home of the Year Over $700,000.

These awards recognise excellence in construction and design, which the Gelorup Retreat has in abundance.

The Gelorup Retreat showcases a unique elevation, featuring exposed timber rafters, timber panelling, sharp render and contemporary profiled roof.

As you enter, the home reveals itself immediately. The expansive kitchen, seamlessly flowing and wrapping around itself, includes a convenient scullery with direct access from the garage. A discreet yet accessible pantry adds to the functionality of the space.

Grand in size, the main living space serves as the connection hub of the home and extends to oversized outdoor living spaces, while the den provides a cosy retreat.

The private master suite features raking ceilings, cathedral windows, and a luxurious ensuite. There is also a separate bedroom wing with an activity space.

The Gelorup Retreat is designed for a comfortable country lifestyle for families of all sizes and life stages.
