The Rural Building Company wins MBA award for innovative, country home

An innovative take on a traditional country home, wowed the judges at the recent Master Builders Association Western Australian Mid-West Building Excellence Awards.

On Saturday 15 October, The Rural Building Company was rewarded Best Contract Homes $430,000 – $500,000 for a client home in Buller.

General Manager Tony Harvie said the win is a reflection of the high standard of workmanship by his team and quality of work achieved by engaged contractors and tradespeople.

“As the State’s largest regional builder, we are invested in the local communities in which we build,” he said.

“We engage with local trades, employ local people and serve a long-term commitment to the regional towns.”

Based on the Blaxland Retreat, this design is a perfect blending of render, weatherboards, timber, and stone allowing it to sit comfortably within this lifestyle landscape. Internally the plan is unique with intuitive zone separation, high and raked ceilings, and well thought out glazing to capture the views and create a seamless connection with outside and in.

This four bedroom, two bathroom home sits on 4002m2, with a free-form living area and home theatre.
