The Cape Retreat - Single Storey is the latest version of the highly acclaimed and multi-award winning design developed for The 2004 Regional Telethon Home.
When designing the Cape Retreat - Single Storey, a strategy was adopted that cleverly used each area to reveal the different aspects of the many powerful views throughout the home.
As you move from room to room it is immediately obvious the design of this home is not simply about getting from A to B. The Rural Building Company has cleverly used each area to provide a focal point to unveil the different aspects of the many powerful views throughout the home.
A ‘coastal’ architecture greets the visitor to this home. From the street you can’t help but be impressed with the multiple gables and pavilion-style roofline and the central turret.
The rear of the home is inspirational with its clever use of rendered masonry and massive areas of glass, and a timberdecked alfresco area adds a wonderful entertainment environment.
You enter the home via a long landscaped walkway. To your left is the double garage that features the latest automatic one-way ‘vision mesh’ sectional door (you can see out, but others can’t see in) and direct access to the home.
Double doors welcome you into the spacious foyer. A private office is well positioned to your immediate left, away from the rest of the home. As you venture further into the home you come across the immense home theatre, a room in which you can seat up to 20 people in comfort. Here, the large screen will have you and your friends transfixed to your favourite blockbusters.
To the rear, the right wing of the home is dominated by the main pavilion area with its towering pyramid roof. This massive area interacts beautifully with the outdoor alfresco and magnificent designer kitchen - a chef ’s delight with everything that you could possibly want in a kitchen, including the latest stainless steel appliances, lots of preparation space, a deep double-door pantry and more. This free-form living area is simply stunning; no matter which way you plan your furniture layout the integrity of the room is left intact because of its strategic relationship with the outdoors.
To the front of the house is a large guestroom and beautifully equipped bathroom, along with bedrooms two and three which are both double-sized and feature built-in robes.
To the rear you will discover the magnificent master suite, a dramatic statement of indulgence. The huge dressing room provides more hanging and storage space than you’re ever likely to need.
Everything about the ensuite is five star; with large shower, twin vanities and separate WC.
The Cape Retreat - Single Storey is a home that will stimulate the senses
