When the client’s of this home meet with Design manager, Heath Moloney, they had one key phrase in mind "Sustainable Design". They also wanted a design that had a resort type feel while still maintaining that unique RBC flavour.
The result is a split leveled designed around the main living area gaining maximum Northern exposure during the cold winter months. Specially designed solar pergolas are used to protect the main living area from hot summer days. The east and west sides are well protected by verandahs, an alfresco featuring raked ceilings and pergola's to the east, ready to grow creeping vines or even grape vines.
The Free-form Living area, Alfresco and the Master suite are positioned to gain uninterrupted views of the pool area in the foreground and the valley views in the background and feature high ceilings, a servery window to the outdoor kitchen and a massive walk in pantry off the modern galley style kitchen.
The materials used throughout the house are a mix of white rendered walls, dressed dark timber's and diamond cut limestone. The result is a modern looking but warm feeling rural house that our clients are eager to call home.
